SIC-Lazaro is proud to announce that Todd Larsen, an experienced sales leader, has joined the company as an Account Manager. Todd, who recently worked as a sales engineer for a machine tool and fabrication equipment company, joined SIC-Lazaro in June and will be developing new business relationships with potential customers while ensuring current customer satisfaction.
We asked Todd a few questions so you could learn more about our latest team member.
What is your position and what does your job entail? My position is Account Manager and I will be managing existing Customer accounts and proactively reaching out to ensure customer satisfaction/retention. I will also be establishing new relationships with potential customers to develop new business and estimating the cost of manufacturing of product and proposing pricing to the customer.
Talk a little about your career. You started with SIC-Lazaro in June. What else have you done? Previously, I served as the:
- Sales Engineer for a machinery company, where I sold machine tools and fabrication equipment.
- Territory Manager for a plastic and metal component and assembly manufacturer, selling thermoplastic, thermoset, non-ferrous metal and metal custom machined parts per customer specifications.
- Sales Engineer, Purchasing Manager, Quality Manager, Plant Manager, Estimating Manager, Programming Manager and Machinist at a plastics fabricator.
- Cost estimating, quality technician and machinist at manufacturer.
What interested you in this line of work? I chose a sales career because sales is one of the few professions where your hard work, strategic thinking, thorough preparation and perpetual action, literally pays off. It’s fun and at times frustrating, challenging, and rewarding work.
What’s the most rewarding thing about your job? Meeting with new and established customers, listening to their requirements and asking questions to get to know their process and product better. Customer / Partner satisfaction in what SIC LAZARO provides is the goal.
What are you looking forward to doing at SIC-Lazaro? Assisting the company grow by actively communicating with our customers. Also looking forward to assisting with process improvements and capabilities.
What do you like to do when you’re not at work? I like to spend time with my wife and two sons, golfing, hunting, fishing and home improvements.
What is something else you’d like people to know about you? Well where do you start? I consider myself as an honest person, when asked a question I will give an honest answer.
